The United States Air Force Air Demonstration Squadron 'Thunderbirds' are set to perform a flyover in celebration of the upcoming film Captain Marvel on March 4, 2019. The event will feature six F-16 Fighting Falcons soaring over Hollywood from 12:15 p.m.

Captain Marvel tells the story of Carol Danvers, an Air Force fighter pilot who becomes one of the most powerful superheroes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. To bring authenticity to the film, the Thunderbirds team provided two pilots to advise the cast and crew on fighter pilot traditions and culture during production.

In preparation for the film's release, lead actress Brie Larson and director Anna Boden visited the team at Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada last January. The team also has close ties to the film's production, with Major Stephen 'Cajun' Del Bagno, who tragically passed away in a training flight accident just a week after consulting on-set.

The flyover is a fitting tribute to Cajun's memory and will honor all men and women serving in the Armed Forces represented in Captain Marvel. The event will showcase the pride, precision, and professionalism of the 660,000 total force Airmen of the U.S. Air Force.

Captain Marvel is set to release in theaters nationwide on March 8. The film follows Carol Danvers' journey from Air Force fighter pilot to superhero, and the Thunderbirds flyover will be a memorable experience for fans of the film.
